So how'bout it, everybody?
Shall we set Saturday, May 31 for our big TCS DFW Meetup?

I'll try and be there! For right now, I think I can, but I don't think I can be certain until closer to the time.

Either Saturday or Sunday will be okay - just as long as I know ahead of time so my s/o can put in a request to get the day off from work.

If they won't give him the day off, I'll make him call in sick!

BTW - I was thinking....

If, for any reason, the dinner thing isn't feasible at the person's house who plans on hosting this event - should we all bring a dish to pass like a pot-luck type thing instead?? Or maybe have a cook-out type thing, since the weather will be nice by then??

Just a suggestion..

No, Memorial Day is the previous Monday... so the 31st won't interfere with three-day-weekend plans, either. It's looking just perfect!

Miss Mew, I'm so sorry it doesn't coincide for you -- but we won't let that stop us. You just let us know when your schedule is set up, and those of us who can arrange it will be thrilled to get together with you! I wouldn't miss it for anything!

Lee, it sounds to me as if your lovely DW takes tremendous pride in turning out a beautiful Persian meal... so I've been assuming that she would like us to leave all that to her.

But as Tiff said, we could all bring a little something to help if you like -- or maybe we could all chip in a little to offset the cost of this fabulous feast she's preparing for us. I hate for Sheri to do all the work and pay for it, too!

What would be your preference on all this?

I wouldn't mind pitching in..
And as Carol said, it wouldn't be fair for your wife to pay for all the food, AND do all the cooking, too.

I have just discovered that Dottie will be attending a wedding in Kansas that weekend, probably.

At least you guys are supplying me with a reason not to go!

I will check with her but as I said, this is the Persian way of doing things. I will get with y'all on this.
