Aggravated

So I started my new job Wednesday and so far so good! I actually replaced a girl that they hired and never showed up, but anyways....my boss called me Wed night(I have been working 4p to 11p) and she told me Saturday to work 8a to 4 pm.....so tonite before I leave, I check and see if shes made up a different schedule and there was one but it had the other girl(that was suppose to start and didnt) her name was down for 4p-11p Saturday!!!

I am confused...my boss told me I work Saturday 8-4, so I call one of the other girls(cause it had her down 8-4) and she said "Well I can't do nights anymore so I am working that shift: I told her like 3 times that the boss told me just Wed night that I worked it!!!! I had my day planned and everything, because of what she said. So here it is like 11:30pm and I know my boss is in bed,I cant call her and ask her yet....

What would you do?!

I guess you will have to show up...

But don't listen to me if you don't want a battery and assault charge and lose your job.

I know, but I drive 30 min just ONE way lol....and the girl that is scheduled to work, said she would be there...

Argghh....I am so unhappy!

I would show up, do my job like normal! So theres another person there... so what! The boss told you that you worked that shift!! I would act as if it was nothing out of the ordinary and just work like you would normally! Maybe the OP will leave! hehe

This job DOES not require two people, trust me!! I plan on calling my boss early though and asking her whats going on...she is extremely nice so I know she isnt doing it to be mean or anything.

If I was the boss and had misspoken, as this lady apparently did, I would be grateful that you checked with the other girl and determined that 8 to 4 was already covered, and your shift was really meant to be 4 to 11. Still, I hope you showed up at 8 just to be safe, and immediately called the boss to make sure you could go home and come back for the later shift.

Well last night when I spoke to the girl that was scheduled to work today, she did tell me she would stay over for me if I needed her to....so today I called and the said she is working til 8 and the night girl is coming in at (instead of 11) I thought that was real nice of them!!
