I dont have a cat but we are looking for one for a friend, I did post in the Breeders section. I live in the middle of nowhere so we dont have much luck finding things..lol

Welcome Kansas (from another Kansas resident)! There are rescue organizations everywhere, and yes, even in the heart of Kansas. Have you looked on www.petfinder.com ? You can enter in your zip code and find cats within your area.

I've seen a couple of cats that would match your requirements in our local shelter.

Also, we're going to be up in the middle of Kansas around the end of May for a wedding. Manhattan, to be exact.

Thanks, I have looked on petfinder with my zip and it doesnt show but 2 cats and they are about 2 hours away from me.....lol What part of Ks are you in? Im in Central Ks.

Wow do you have a way to send pics I could show her? Manhatten is about 4 hours from where I am but if it is a cat she would want I think I could figure something out.

I'm actually in Texas. If you look down the list of pet photos and videos, you'll see a couple entitled "shelter cats" that I took at my local shelter.

Of course, those cats are subject to being adopted at any time. But if you do some checking, you may be able to find something in your area. I would check in Wichita, for example.

Kansas, of course, has the same problem Texas does. It's a long ways to anywhere. It's just farther here. We're talking about driving to San Antonio for dinner on the River Walk tomorrow. That's only 250 miles...
