Uhhhh... I talked hubby into letting me adopt the mom. I played on his sympathies, telling him it was harder for an older cat to get adopted (even though she's only about 3)
Plus how cute is she? And she matches Roly, so bonus! lol

I am _really_ liking Blarney, and so help me if she turns out to be a long-haired cat... I will want to adopt her too... but I told hubby if I did this volunteering thing I would be able to contain myself... oh predicaments, predicaments

When Willow (my pregnant-humane society-cat) had her kittens, it wasnt so hard letting them go. Mostly because I knew the homes they were going to and I still see them to this day. But the foster cats are different. Last year we had a dilute tortie mom and she was SO lovey and her babes were just too adorable for words. Ever since my RB Mufasa, I hold a soft spot for blue kiddies. But I had already kept a polydactyl kitten (Squeaker) from a previous foster litter that year, so I was done for...

That's one great thing about this site. Whenever I'm jonesing for a blue baby... I just browse around here!

The Pot O' Gold is 3 days shy of 4 weeks already! Hard to believe huh? I snapped these pics this morning. Nothing much, but I thought it was cute how they were all tummy-side-up

I'm partial to Blarney - the girl with the red dot on her face. Someone help me if she ends up being long-haired! But I'm with you... if there was a gray one in this litter, I would been in trouble. I miss my RB Mufasa! I'm going to have to dig up some photos of him. (He was pre-digital - can you remember those days?)

Be still my beating heart--tell me when to be there to pick up a red or red/white kitten--that is potentially medium or long haired! OH WOW!

I have family near Pittsburgh--perhaps I need to pay my grandparents a visit!

Well the Pot O' Gold is 5 weeks old today!

We have moved the playpen of kittens into my dining room so they can be socialized with the resident cats, dog and just get used to everyday human noises.

I was playing around here on TCS, and heard a little "eeping" a litte bit ago, I go to check on the kittens and sure enough, one had managed to escape! Roly found her, and the two were on the floor playing. Roly apparently too rough... Momma was just laying there watching. Wish I had my camera but had to separate them. Guess it's time to put the top on.

Here's some pics I took the other day.

Joshua in the playpen......................................Kiddies learning to climb; Resident Roly supervises...

Those red and red/white kittens. I'll tell you what if one goes missing I don't know who did it.

What kind of toys or candy does your son like--maybe I could bribe him into sneaking me out a kitten....

Our Jack wouldn't know what to do with a kitten. He is still so "kitten" himself.
