So now that Miss Maggie May is feeling better she has decided that she will only eat Nutro dry in the morning, and nothing but Fancy Feast will do in the evening. So I now have 2 cats on the kitty crack. She used to love her natrual balance, but now it's a no go. This multiple cat thing is so difficult. Do a lot of people have multiple foods, for multiple cats? I don't know if I should just make her go hungry until she eats what I give her or just buy her the kitty crack and deal with it.

I'm glad I don't have picky cats! Must be a big PITB.

My guys wind up with a new food every other meal since I have two and they will finish a 6 oz can in 2 meals. The only ones they don't like is the sliced meats in gravy so I don't get that.

They alternate between Natural Balance (love the venison and the duck), Max cat, and some Iams canned.

BTW they don't like Fancy Feast - I got the little cans for show, and Charlie really doesn't eat it.

Try warming up the other foods with some hot water and stirring it up. See if they will eat the better canned foods that way.

Stimpy likes poultry, only certain flavors. But also gets bored of the same old same old. So I sometimes buy him Authority, and California Natural (depends on the budget for the latter).

Nabu likes Fancy Feast, Friskies, and Meow Mix. He prefers fish, but will eat some chicken flavors.

So I have to work with that.
We buy a lot of Fancy Feast.

If your kitty likes Fancy Feast, I would try Friskies. My kitties eat Friskies with pleasure and they are pate style and very stinky.

My cats love most of the Friskies in gravy varieties, but are pretty picky when it comes to the pate. But they have quite a few different flavors to choose from.
My spoiled boys seem to prefer Friskies in gravy and FF loaf.

I have different foods too (for 2 cats). This is because Matilda needs grain-free adult maintenance food and Chloe needs kitten food.

Mine are picky too, Chloe more so than Matilda. Right now the only wet food I know Chloe will eat most of is human tuna, Fancy Feast, sometimes Meow Mix, and that's it so far. Then she changes and just stares at you like "you have got to be kidding me." I don't want her to not eat anything and she eats dry food too. She is still growing (she is only 6 lbs, barely, and 7 1/2 months old).

There are a few foods I can feed to both of them, like the Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diet Wet Food flavors, since they are grain-free and all-life-stages. That's nice because I can buy the larger can and split it without having to use any leftovers, it saves money. They aren't fans of leftover nights!

They eat different dry foods too. Matilda eats Natural Balance Green Pea & Duck, Chloe eats Nutro Natural Indoor Kitten. Sometimes I get Chloe to eat the higher quality wet foods by sprinkling the dust from her jar of freeze-dried chicken treats.

I am going through this also...Pan only wants Meow Mix pouches or FF....I have tried ALL, and I mean ALL, types of "higher quality" canned food, and he refuses it all...Instinct, California Natural, Natural Life, Wellness, Merrick, the list goes on and on and on. I have tried heating, mixing with the cheap stuff, just giving him the quality for a couple weeks.....the latter was like throwing my money away. He just ate his dry that he gets, and shunned the wet.

I have decided that having him on a high-quality dry, along with the Meow Mix and FF, is ok. He is at a great weight, and his fur is shiny and healthy, and he is active and happy.

Higher quality food is worthless if your cat won't eat it, IMO.

same here. my kitties pretty much refuse all of friskies pate varieties except the turkey and gravy which stinks to high heaven. im literally gagging as i type this because i had a flashback from last time i opened a can lol
unfortunately they love that flavor. the chicken and salmon in gravy is pretty popular even with patchy who is more picky than you can even imagine

I've tried several differnt salmon flavor foods from differnt brand. Her Royal Highness just sniffs, tries to burry it, and says "No take it back and bring me something else. That will simply not do for a princess." Other fish flavors she loves
just not salmon.

They do sound related. Even when Maggie would eat N.B. there were flavors she wouldn't touch. My favorite is when she tries to bury it. That is the sign that she thinks it is nasty. I did buy some royal canin dry food that is for picky cats. When I get a chance to try it, I'll tell you what she thinks. Ultimately I'd like a dry food that Levi, Isaac & Maggie will all eat. Levi will eat anything, Isaac likes the grain free. Jordan well, he is all about his F.F. medolies right now. He will eat foods that are shreeded for a meal or two, but then it's back to the floritine flavors.

patchy doesnt bury her food, she tried to kick it off the tray which makes chloe mad b/c she likes it. ive tried the "she'll eat when shes hungry" thing and it doesnt work. she will go for days without eating. i cant even feed her the same flavor 2 meals in a row or she will not eat it. actually she wont eat it if she doesnt see me open the package either. shes quite the diva!

patchy has food allergies and is supposed to be eating prescription food. she wont. i tried to tell the vet she wouldnt (she wouldnt eat the royal canin for picky kitties, either.) the first dish she kicked off the table and the 2nd dish she poo'd on. i wish you couldve seen the look on the vets face. all i could do was shrug and tell him "i told you so." she ate iams until she got one can last yr that made her (and chloe) sick; then she wouldnt touch it anymore - which was a blessing in disguise.

however, with all this pickiness, she has no problem drinking from the toidy

Yeah, that sounds about right. I think your cat is worse than my Maggie. I'm hoping she will eat the R.C. If not I know Levi will eat it. Levi will eat anything.
