Hi-

Yes whiskers will grow back, albiet slowly, and will be a different color than before.

Hissy, I'm just wondering, out of curiousity, is that painful for the cat?
Or is it just similar to us growing our hair back?

I'm just snoopy, I guess.

I would think it would be painful, as they are sinus hairs, not like the hairs on their coats or those on our heads. It seems to me it would rather be like having a nose hair yanked out...ouch!

Yeah, that's what I thought. But I don't know all that much about cat health. I love this site because I learn more and more every day.

No, the whiskers aren't painful growing back in. If you "plucked" one out it would hurt like a son of a gun, but if they are cut, broken,or growing back, they don't feel anything
