I just got home and I was ready to sit down on my computer for my nightly Cat Site fix, and Socks was curled up in my computer chair. Needless to say, I am sitting in a most uncomfortable kitchen chair, with my keyboard sititng on my lap, and she is still in my nice padded computer chair getting her snooze.

:tounge2: Somedays, I wish she were me and I was she.

Movin' on up!
That's funny. I just came in and found Opie, curled up in MY chair. He got scooped up, into my lap, though. Quickly becoming bored, he has left the room.

Jenn, I totally understand. OK, I think all of us do. Trent likes to sit behind me on my computer chair, which often leaves my ample behind right on the edge of the chair. Most uncomfortable, but I wouldn't want to disturb the kitty!

LoL. I'd scoop her up but she would just meow and get in a fit. She's awake now, enjoying a sniff of my cereal, and begging for the milk when I'm done. She knows she won't get it though, so I don't know why she bothers trying!

(Yes, I am eating breakfast cereal at 10:10 PM. Meh. Too lazy to cook anything...
)

PS: She's doesnt get the milk, not because I'm mean and don't want to give it to her, but because it makes her sick.

LOL. Socks likes to stand ON the backrest of my computer chair, showing me her acrobatics and trying to get my attention and peel me away from you guys...

I'm glad I'm not the only one. My family thinks I'm insane...lol.

"You could make yourself an actual meal!"

Well, I could. But...why would I when I can pour a perfectly good meal or snack out of a box?

lol.. over at my fi's house, I have a certain chair I have always sat on. well, his cat tigger decided to start stealing it recently and tho we get along usually she will bite the heck out of me if I try to move her. So I usually end up on the floor while kitty (and i swear she does this) laughs at me with her eyes. Ugh. But she's so cute I don't care toooo much..

LOL - I can identify, except it's my dog that does that. Seriously, we had company New Year's Eve and they were sleeping in my bedroom so I was going to sleep on the couch. I ended up sleeping on the livingroom floor because the couch is the dog's "bed".

I call him a stupid dog, but I think he has us humans figured out quite nicely.

Of course you would be eating breakfast cereal at 10:10 pm. Any person in their right mind would do that.

I snack on cheerios mixed with rice krispies and strawberries!

I'm lucky, Nakita doesn't like the computer chair. She goes straight for the heat & lies on top of the computer monitor.

Socks is too big to get on top of the computer monitor. I'm sure she could try, but she'd just slide right off.

Her favorite spot is the computer chair, or my bed almost directly on my head. She was outraged when I cut my hair from really long to just above my ears...lol. I didn't realize how much she snuggled and slept on my hair until I cut it. Poor little girl...doesn't realize where her pillow has gone.

(Can I win the award for getting most off topic? I can go from computer chair, to breakfast cereal, to my haircut. Woooo hoooo! LOL.)

Well, Jenn, it's your own thread so I guess you can do whatever you want in it! LOL It's so funny how kitties do or don't do change. Ophelia goes with the flow, she's actually pretty laid back apart from thinking I'm an axe murderer about half the time. Trent on the other hand does not do well with any kind of change to his little world. I don't even want to think how he would react if I cut my hair! (he doesn't sleep on it or anything, he is just very bad with any kind of change.)

Isn't it perfectly normal to eat cereal for any meal?? Seriously!

And I know who's boss here... Spike sleeps where he wants, when he wants, no matter if it's my bed, or the blanket I want to use, etc. I wouldn't dream of moving him... I'd actually feel guilt over it... I think he's brainwashed me...

I eat cereal as a snack and sometimes, I eat if for dinner, too.
Learned that from my parents. It was ok in their house.

Faile will sometimes lay on my lap when I'm at the computer. Usually my leg falls asleep or gets a cramp. I don't always move her at that point. Yes, we're all slaves to our fur babies.

my furbabies were using the bed as a playground last night, oh boy. when peedoodle doesnt want me at the computer, he sits on the chair and i cant go near it.
: kahu gets under my feet and trips me up every opportunity he gets - i think its a plot by both the boys to try and kill me, i can just imagine them laughing as i trip up!

Hehehehe!! i can really relate!

My hubby always comment "these kitties have a better life than me!" or "there are kitty toys everywhere - this place looks like it is for cat habitat, not human!"

After making my bed in the morning, i will place their two beds on the bed, next to the pillows. Yes, they are once again the center of attention.

In the evening, my hubby frequently comments "now where am i going to sit?" Hehe...

Also, sometime when we eat dinner, Daisy or Venus will jump up to the food, and even help themselves!! Venus is a tyrant for helping herself with my milk. Yeah, my babies are really spoilt!

He ALWAYS make little comments about how the kitty rules in this household!

Cheers!

LOL. It reminds me of a t-shirt I saw once:

"Cats were worshipped as Gods in ancient Eygpt. They have not forgotten this!"

Ophelia is usually pretty good about not taking stuff off of our plates because she knows she will get all the good juices and stuff on the plate after we eat (scrape off the chunks and just leave the juices/butter from veggies, sauces, etc. on the plate and give it to her when we are done eating. She doesn't get much.). Sometimes, however, when we have something that smells REALLY good she will come up and sniff the plate while we're still eating. She's never run off with food, but she has started licking stuff still on the plate.
:tounge2: Nah, she's not spoiled! Oh, and whenever hubby has his cookies and milk at night, they get a little bit in their own saucer otherwise he wouldn't be able to get to his glass of milk. That's his own fault because he sometimes lets them drink milk out of his glass before he starts dunking Oreos. THAT's dedication!

Misbehaved and spoiled? No. She just enjoys corn.

I figure, what the heck, I'm already forgetting etiquette by eating my dinner on the couch...
Don't tell my mama though...

Don't worry, we can keep a secret!
(And I know where you can get that t-shirt)

Willie can't be convinced that mommy really needs him to not lay on her textbooks while she's doing homework!
