for a book to read while on jury duty. I came across "Cats In Space," edited by Bill Fawcett. It has a bunch of cat science fiction stories including...

SPOILER HERE!

a story by Arthur C. Clarke in which a guy thinks he is having a catastrophic failure of his large space suit, only to discover it is a litter of kittens from the ship's cat.

Good stuff, but 16 years old, probably not in print.

Thanks for sharing! I'm a huge sci-fi and short story fan as well as a cat lover, so I'll be on the lookout for it!

Have fun with jury duty! I did it last winter, and it was a lot of hurry-up-and-wait. You're wise to bring reading material.

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
I have that book... bought it in a used book shop... I love the tag line at the top of the front cover:

"In space, no one can hear you meow..."

I haven't gotten to reading it yet... have so many books... I also have the Cat Fantastic series... except one... really do need to pick that last one up...
