I am using Tidy Cat clay litter right now and it is aweful. It tracks all over the bathroom floor and I have to keep cleaning up after my cat. Today, I found my cat smelling like feces, and it turned out some litters were stuck between his toes.
Suggest a type of clumping litter please.

of the clay clumping litter, Scoop Away seems to clump most firmly. i finally found some unscented Scoop Away at Petsmart this last time.

If a cat steps into his poop when in the box, it won't matter what kind of litter you are using, he'll still get poop on his paw.

I've switched from clay to WBCL and I will NEVER go back.

He didn't step on his poop, the litter got stock on his paw and it smelled bad.

After trying literally every kind..... I found that I like Special Kitty from Wal-Mart! It is pretty cheap too!!!
it clums great and covers odors pretty well, but I will once a week pour some baking soda in it to freshen it up before changing it out totally!

My cats like Special Kitty scoop, Dr Elsey's, or Tidy Cats scoop the best. Most of the other clumping clay litters we tried were too dusty.

World's Best was ok with one cat, but the other doesn't really like it. My cats wouldn't even use Feline Pine Scoop. Swheat Scoop was a little too dusty for my liking.
