Olive has become completely obsessed with her spay incision. The surgery was 4 weeks ago and she is still not healed. The vet told me that I have to keep her from licking otherwise it won't heal. The e-collar slows her down, but she can still lick, so the body sock was my next option. She is less than thrilled!

"Mom, I hate you!"

But, Olive you must wear the e-collar and sock so you stop licking....

"I wasn't licking!"

I am just very thankful that Coal Monsta doesn't need a body sock! I don't think I have any that would fit that big belly!!

Ohhhhh poor Olive!
She really doesn't look happy, but she looks oh so adorable in her body sock!! Very clever as well - what did you make it from?

Just a regular sock. I cut the toe out and four leg holes. Now we just have to wait and see how long it will last! LOL

That's a great idea with the sock. Did she walk funny at first when you put it on her?

I can't imagine getting that on either one of our cats.

The body sock was a GREAT idea... and the material seems like it will not promote bacteria growth. I thought you got it from your vet - like it was some kind of new contraption. I think you have a market...

And she does look too darn cute (to her dismay) in that get up. Both your cats are gorgeous!

Aww, poor Olive! Be patient girl, it won't be long before all that stuff is taken off you!

Your Olive is quite patient though. My QT can remove any e collar put on her and as for a sock, she will tear it within minutes!

She did walk a little funny at first and she still isn't too pleased, but she needs to heal!
The vet gave me the idea. They could have made one for me out of a gauzy type material, but they said it would be cheaper to make it out of a sock.

Over the river and through the woods...
Ohhh...poor baby! Don't you wish you could make them understand it is for their own good. Her operation was 4 wks ago and she still isn't healed? So cats just won't leave it alone. She isn't getting infected, is she?

We've gone back to the vet twice since the surgery and both times they put her on antibiotics as a precaution. They said she doesn't look too bad, but with an open wound it's best to give meds. Poor baby will need lots of yogurt after all this to get those tummy bacterias back to normal!

Aww... it's so pathertic it's cute!

I have to ask, does the Coal Monsta let you pet that fluffy belly? He reminds me so much of my Wickett who loves a good tummy rub.

Poor girl! She does look adorable, but it's time to get that wound healed so she can get on with her big girl life
