I am so sorry your mother has passed. Cancer is an ugly beast, but it did not win... Your mother is resting comfortably now dancing with your brother, watching over you. May your family find peace and comfort in the memories you hold dear. She lives on in your heart.

I am so sorry for your loss. My mom died from Alzheimer's in January. Knowing and expecting your loved ones to die soon does not help with the grief. My thought and prayers are with you and your family.

About you not believing that it happened, even though you have been expecting it, I know how you feel. On January 2nd of this year my grandma died of Alzheimers. But she wasnt just my grandma. My brother, sister and I have lived with my grandparents since we were babies. She was more like my mom than my grandma.

She was diagnosed with Alzheimers 5 years ago. There were MANY times when it would be sooo bad that our family would pray that she would just go. That she would just go and leave all this pain and suffering behind.

When it happened, it didnt seem real. I mean we prayed for it to happen for a long time, but when it actually did happen, I thought "She can't REALLY be gone."

Even now, after 3 months, there are times when I cant believe she's gone.
