My 1 year old cat Sedona snuck out the door last night when I left. When I got home and found her, she had been sitting under a truck in transmission fluid. She had/has it on her paws, back legs and tail. I washed her paws and tail with dawn dish soap which was no easy task but she will have nothing to do with getting her back legs washed. Actually her whole body should be washed. Should I take her to a groomer to make sure all the transmission fluid and soap is out? Any suggestions? Thanks

I would call a vet first (like, ASAP. I know it's Sunday so you'll have to call an emergency vet) to make sure that her licking that fluid isn't going to poison her. Or does anyone here know? I hope someone can help. If it was all over her, chances are she tried licking it off to get clean.

The groomer would be my 2nd stop. Or you could try wrapping her in a towel to see if that helps make it a bit easier to get it off the back legs (good luck!)
