Nudist Camps???

Nope, never had the urge to go to one. I don't care if other people do, it's just not for me. I don't even like to go without shoes.

Seriously though, I don't really have anything against nudism, but I'm really interested in trying either.

You know you're not "great" when the people around you are mentally dressing you.
It's not a nudist camp, exactly...but one of Dottie's coworkers lives right next to the Renaissance fair south of Dallas, and he says the kids working there are naked out back in the evening all the time.

I kept my bathing suit on the whole time
Alot of the people there were swingers and I felt really uncomfortable

When DH and I were in high school we would drive over to the local nudist camp in the winter and park the car and do what teenagers do in cars. There was never a soul there in the winter, so it was the perfect place. It was called Sunny Havens.
Chris had a neighbor who was a nudist.. he even used to mow the lawn in a thong.. UGH! He spied on all of the neighbors by climbing a tree in his back yard... He died a few months ago and it's been so nice and peaceful since.. we can hang out in the backyard without being watched or me having to be afraid of seeing his old naked body! (which i thankfully never had to see!) *shivers*

There's one near Tucson but, between the sun, cactus and stinging/biting critters, I don't see how they can stand it. Some years ago, the paper did a story about the place and showed a guy sitting on a rock. We have 100+ temps, in the summer and those rocks are HOT (guess that HIS were too
) Shoes and sunscreen are a MUST!
I don't understand people being uncomfortable with their nude bodies.
When I'm at the gym I want to laugh when I see women struggling to put on their bra or panties while trying to stay covered by their towels
Me on the other hand am considerably over weight and I just shuck my towel and parade around the shower and locker room!
When I'm at home I never wear clothing. I live in a high rise with several apartments across the river from me, and I always have my blinds open part way so that when I have my window open the wind isn't slapping my blinds around.
It's common knowledge that there are people who live in apartment buildings who use telescopes and binoculars to spy on people in adjacent apartment buildings. I don't care
In fact on occasion I look towards the window and wave
in case someone is watching. The way I figure it is this. If they have a need to watch a naked fat woman sitting at her computer, then their lives are even more pathetic than mine
I've always been comfortable in the nude, no matter what my age or body type. As an infant as soon as I learned to get my diaper off, my mom always found me buck nacked. She eventually stopped putting a diaper or any clothing on me when she put me to bed because I always got them off. And as I got older, she had a hard time keeping clothing on me too. I would frequently shuck my clothing off in the house or outside and go around naked! She was horrified when I did that!! I've converted every guy I've ever been in a long term relationship with into a nudist too!
I grew up in a home with parents that were from a whole different generation. My Dad was born in 1909 and my Mom in 1926. I was born in 1962. Now given the generations that they grew up in, they should have been "prudes", but they weren't. They were very liberal minded and they never made an attempt to cover themselves if I happened to catch them in the nude.

DH and I went to a couple of nude beaches back in Australia, but I wasn't very comfortable there - particularly when I noticed a guy hiding in the bushes watching us and ummm.... doing something gross. I yelled at him, got dressed, and said I'm not going back.

I've been to a nudie beach (stayed clothed) it's a nice beach and we normally go the clothed end.

The closest we ever got to a nudist colony is when we would visit friends of ours. They lived next door to an elderly lady with Alzheimer's. She seemingly would forget to get dressed and go outside to hang her laundry or water her lawn.
