my 13 year old cat has lost a drastic amount of weight in the last few months, no longer plays, barely eats and recently seems to be losing control of her bowels. I have done everything i can to get her to eat and be comfortable...is it time to have her put down?

Welcome to TheCatSite.

At age 13, your kitty is a senior, but not near the end of her natural life cycle.

It is critical that she have a good vet examine her right away to get a real diagnosis and possible treatment.
You kitty, with good care, might have many years ahead.

Please let us know what you find out.

I absolutely agree with this advice. She may have something easily treatable - but because this has gone on for several months, I'd get her to a vet ASAP!

I'd say it's definitely time to take her to a vet to be treated!
