The only things I don't let them do is stuff I feel is unsafe. Such as they're not allowed on the counter by the stove (I think I've finally broken Swanie of jumping up there), they're not allowed in the attic (because it's unfinished and there's a gaping hole by the chimney - and I don't trust Swanie not to fall into it), they're not allowed in the cabinets under the sinks.

Other than that, I can't think of anything. Cindy doesn't do much "bad" stuff, but Swanie is always pushing the limit. I don't let him eat off my dish while I'm eating (although I've actually let him drink some of the milk from my cereal bowl a time or two) but he does eat off our plates occasionally (as in, I'll put a little bit of something on a small dish and give it to him). I've even let him have a small lick of my ice cream while I was eating it.

I remember seeing my niece finish eating her meal and put the plate on the floor for her dog to lick, and I was totally grossed out. but I guess it's different when they're your babies.

Nova sleeps on my pillow, by my head. I tried to keep her off my pillow, I tried to give her her own pillow, I tried giving her my pillow and using a different one. Nope, she just wants the one that my head is on.

My last cat Smokey was a very good cat. She never got on the table or counters. Well these guys go where ever they want. The get on the table, on the counters. I even have a cat bed on top of the refrigertor for them. They are only allowed to lick from my plate when I put it on the floor for them. I will take food from my plate and feed it to them. One day the cable guy came to check on something and while he was waiting at the door, I picked Jordan up and set him down on the kitchen table. I'm sure he was horrified.

They get away with too much. The only thing I really keep strict with them is that they are not aloud in my room, not after they attacked my gerbils.

Maybe the question should be, what do your cats let you get away with?

I know that the day I brought Jordan home, I lost any control I had over my house.

My kits get away with pretty much everything, except climbing up on any work surfaces where we prepare food..

I think it is only recently though that mum has decided they wont be allowed on the sofa any more, mainly because of the baby where she will be learning to crawl and climb onto things soon..we don't want her covered in cat fur!

Jaffa prefers to drink running water, so I turn the sink tap on for her slightly first thing in the morning!

Dave gets away with EVERYTHING as he is brain damaged. We even buy prawns for him as they're his favourite, & sneak them to him without the others noticing!

Critter gets away with loads too because he is a feral kitten that is taking a lot longer to get tame than the others, so I don't like telling him off, because I see it as him "making himself at home" and "feeling relaxed"

Sucker aren't i???

Rocky has *his* chair that no one is allowed to sit in except for me, and then only if he's on my lap or in a different room.

Her girls eat better then anyone else in that house!!

Pretty much everything but climbing on top of the cupboards and going in the workshop/laundry room.

I have greens stealers. I'm generally good at keeping both cats away from my food, and I have a dedicated food trash (with a lid!) on my kitchen counter (that the cats aren't allowed on!), but if I leave the food trash lid open with romaine ribs or not good enough leaves, I will find chewed greens on the floor in the morning.

So I've actually started to just give them a piece of lettuce, already, if I'm having a hard time keeping them away from my salad plate. Athena grabbed a leaf off my daikon as I was slowly putting away fresh vegetables the other day.

My mother thinks I allow them to do all kinds of inappropriate things, but I'm glad I have a scratching post dining room table leg, I like them on the bathroom counter, and I don't have anything else on top of the television, so why shouldn't a cat go there?
