We just lost our boxer, Bella.

She was the sweetest dog I have ever known.....not a mean bone in her body, would let the kids climb all over her, and no matter how rough they got with her (our little one is only 2), she would just sigh, roll over, or lick them to pieces.

My beautiful brindle girl woke up with lumps on her flanks and neck, and I thought she was going through her seasonal allergy phase. The vet found through blood testing that she had lymphoma...advanced and aggressive. We brought her home and made her as comfortable as she could be. Today she could not get up from the couch, and just looked at me in a way that I knew she was having a lot of pain. She went over the rainbow bridge this afternoon with her her mom and dad at her side. It was so peaceful...so unlike what I envisioned it to be.

My girl was only 5 years old. I miss her so much, but I know that she is out of her pain and is in a better place. I just miss her here in the house.

I am so sorry for your loss. I also have a boxer. Mine will be 5 years old this year and she is brindle also. My boxer has that same wonderful personality. They are the sweetest most loving dogs. May you find strength to make it through this sad time.

i'm so sad to hear that you and your precious bella were seperated too soon. i had to have my lurcher pts on valentines day and like you, i was in awe of how peaceful and dignified it was when he crossed the bridge.
