I'm fairly new to TCS (joined 3/1), and I've been trying to contribute and make myself known. I realize many of you have connections and know each other either virtually or in 3D.
That being said, I would like to say that pre-Sammie (I brought her home in January 2007 as a kitten), I was a dog person and didn't 'get' cats.
OMG! Now, she has captivated me and the more I learn, the more I respect and admire her and her kin.
Permit me to talk about my love.
She chats with me constantly. I ask a question, she answers.
She loves to be held in the crook of my arm like a baby.
She knows what 'treat' means and runs to the pantry to get them when offered.
She knows what 'da bird' means and runs to the closet where he is stored when asked if she wants to play.
When I get in the tub, she gets on the ledge...she dips a paw in the water and drinks the bath water.
Also, when I'm in the tub, she decides to eat (her bowls are in the bathroom). She munches and looks periodically at me with her sweet eyes squinted.
The same squinty eyed look is what I get when she is happily curled up beside me on the return of my desk.
She is beautiful and as I look at the pics of your babies here at TCS I realize how absolutely gorgeous our kitties are.
Ahhhhh, love. Kitty love. How come nobody told me about this wonder before?
Thanks for letting me express my love as a semi-newbie.
