Postcard Club

Does anyone want to start a postcard club?
Here is how it will work. Since I am going on vacation tomorrow, I will start...What I will do is take everyone's name and make a list. The first person on the list will mail a postcard to the second person, the second person mails one to the third person and so on.
Steven is a part of a postcard club on another forum and it is really fun. He has gotten postcards from all over the world!

So here is the list so far: Let's keep it down to 10 names to start so it doesn't take so long to get a postcard if you are on the bottom of the list. Oh and we will have to PM eachother mailing addresses. And, you have to mail the postcard from the city you get it from. Like, I am going to Snowshoe West Virginia so I would mail it from there so it will have the postmark from there.

I'd like to get in on this, too, although I'm not planning on going anywhere exciting for a while!

Even if you are not going on vacation, the place that you live is ok to mail from too because the person you send the card to is probably from somewhere different

I think that's a really neat idea! Although, I won't be going anywhere nice either. I'm going to Kingston, Ontario in April, but that's not all that exciting.

My granddad was involved in something similar. His whole basement walls are covered with postcards from all over the world.

Thanks Lizza. I was bound to get confused soon! I have to be the worst with screennames... lol. Or I'll call someone by the right sn and the wrong first name, or by the right first name and wrong sn...

If any of you want a postcard from here just PM me, I'm going into town on Saturday. (I don't exactly live in a tourist area...)

I can probably get some postcards from St. Thomas, Ontario, where PT Barnum's 'Jumbo' elephant passed away. They have a really cool monument to him. It's only about 15 minutes from here and I have to go there this weekend anyway.

And in the summer, I'll be in northern Ontario (Huntsville) and I can get postcards from there.

So we don't get confused, for now, just send a post card to the person on the list that is below your name.
Does anyone have a better way to organize the sending??? This is the first time I have done anything like this so I am open to suggestions. Steven's club is only 4 guys so they send to everyone at once.

Yeah, organized is good.

Sorry, I sometimes get ahead of myself.

Everyone send your address to the person above your name on the list:
For example, Adrienne sends her name to me and I mail her a postcard. Christy sends her name to Adrienne and Adrienne sends Christy a postcard and so on. Then sometime later on we can shuffle the names on the list so we will get postcards from different people.

I guess we can make the list longer than 10 names...It wouldn't slow any mailing down...so if we get enough people, keep adding on. I will be gone this weekend so I won't be here to keep the list thread going Seems to be going just fine on its own, thanks everybody this should be FUN!!!
