Our kitties are so funny! You know, I was really suprised when I saw Petunia doing it-- usually Pepper does the really silly things!

Serenity is still all kitten and cracks me up doing this pretty often. What I absolutely LOVE is when Sierra gets a burst of kitten energy and runs around chasing her tail, too!

Cubby who is 7 years old still chases his tail every night during our dinner time. Then he will chase it again before bed time.

Limerick has been doing it since he was a kitten. It's pretty funny. He teases himself with it when he get hyper.

I've had Harry and Misty for about a month now. I've seen Harry chase his tail a couple of times, and Misty once. It has been a long time since I've seen a cat chase his/her own tail (my RB cat Rascal didn't).

I lol'ed when I saw Harry do it for the first time. It was so cute. And he's a big kitty, and not all that young either (he's almost 5, and Misty is almost 6).

Tailer chases his tail, but it's not his fault. He'll be sitting there just snoozing or minding his own business, and all of the sudden his tail comes out of nowhere and smacks him in the face! He'll try to ignore it, but the tail will continue to taunt him until Tailer finally chases it off. What's he supposed to do, just sit there and take it from that bully of a tail?

(This is why we say we have three pets...Forest, Tailer, and Tailer's Tail.

That's very cute. Sounds like Tailer has about as much awareness of his tail as my Isaac does. He dosen't chase his tail but he has a table clearing tail. It's as long as his body & very hairy. He can clear a table with is tail as well as any lab I've ever known.

chloe does when shes feeling really mean (like when i walk by and she grabs my leg and bites me) and she spins all around and will grab her tail and chomp it. the pain makes her realize its HER tail and she grasps it in her paws and licks it with this "i meant to do that" look

Well, Sammie does, but on her timeframe and her rules.

She only does it on weekends (when I could be getting a tad bit more sleep), and only when she jumps on top of the headboard, so that (of course) I can have my sleep interrupted by said tail-chasing.

What a girl.

On the rare occasions when I've caught Oliver chasing his tail, it's always in the bathtub, where it echoes, of course.
