where you want to say something but your mouth won't move? I had this dream where I was trying to explain something to my son. He kept on talking and would not listen. But suddenly he stopped and said "go ahead". But I could not, like I had no control of my tongue or something. I woke up shouting what I was going to say.

First time it happened to me and it is weird.

yes, and it's horrible.

Mine is usually when I'm having a nightmare and trying to yell "FIRE!" (recurring nightmare). Usually I end up waking DH up by making loud, weird noises.

When I started to research what nightmares were all about I found a very good piece of information that made me feel better. We have nightmares because they allow us to process fear that we couldn't handle during the day. It's our bodies way of purging excess frustration, anxiety, and fear.

Now when I have them I let them wash over me and I feel much better the next day. You aren't weird for having them... it's just a natural way for your body to react to higher levels of stress.
