One of the surgeons I assist all the time called me "obstreperous". I kind of like that word.

ob·strep·er·ous [uhb-strep-er-uhs]
–adjective
1. Resisting control or restraint in a difficult manner; unruly.
2. Noisily and subbornly defiant.
3. Aggressively boisterous.

Yeah, that pretty much describes me! I'm kind of opinionated and headstrong.
I especially like the "aggressively boisterous" part!

I like the word purple (I like the color too) just because of the way it rolls off the tongue. I don't think that any word rhymes with purple either.

I also like the British word "spiffing" it just has that whole "stiff upper lip" sound

Well -- does this count?

"...Roses are red
Violets are purple
Sugar is sweet
And so's maple surple
I'm the seventh one
Outta seven sons
My pappy was a pistol
I'm a son of a gun..."

Mmmmm! This one seems to roll off the tongue nicely

Mine is sphygmomanometer. It is the pressure cuff they use to take your blood pressure. I just think it's a great word for some reason.

I have always thought the most mellifluous word in English is "burlington."

But mellifluous runs a close second!
