I haven't encountered that one, but I have found others that are either too big or too small for my liking. I just adjust my display, larger or smaller as necessary.

Ok, I'm making it my official goal to play (and finish/log a score on) every game in the arcade. This might be hard as some of them really drive me nuts.

ETA: Ok, I like live chess but the arcade chess sucks! I was trying to lose and I'm still playing. 5 minutes ago the computer had 2 rooks, 1 bishop, 1 knight, 5 pawns and it's king & queen. I've only had my king. I could have put myself in check-mate a dozen time but somehow I managed to capture a rook and 2 pawns and I'm still running around the board like a chicken with my head cut off. No wonder there are no high scores recorded for this one.

ETA: Finally! All of that and it doesn't even keep score! Ahhhhh!

Hmmmm might be time for another version of Chess, methinks.

I'll ask Danny to take a look, but not sure if it can be fixed - the tournaments sure do seem buggy

I usually play 8-ball and a couple of other games that only use the mouse.
Recently, I have not had a problem playing alone or in tournaments.

We have some tournaments that need players....
you don't have to be a good player, just join in and have fun.

Oh thank you for fixing that! You have to be creative...but I've yet to figure out how to crack 300,000

okay, I'll reveal my secrets
I've learned to pull back off the pile on my aces if I need to to then use a card from the deck or move a single card so I can get to the unturned over cards underneath.

I also will swop..if I need a 7 of hearts next to go up on the ace of hearts pile, and I can move the a different red 7 over to an available black 8, I will do that, and you can do the same kind of move when you have a single card atop unturned cards (see a place to put a red 7 of hearts for example., do so, then put the available red 7 of diamonds that's the only card atop a stack of unturned over cards, over in it's place and you can then get to turning over the stack of cards it was on).

If you already do all this, then I have no clue why I'm sometimes doing better than you

I do all those things, I swear! I just suck at solitaire apparently!

I one time got into the 200,000s, but that was only because it took me 10 games to clear the cards
oh well, I still play, hoping I'll get lucky one time

another suggestion for Solitaire Slingo - i usually attempt to clear the deepest piles first. plus, i don't move anything to the foundation piles until i have no other options... i move to/from the main black/red stacks before i'll play from the 'hand', as these are harder. i don't bother opening a place for a king until it's needed, either.
i don't have the ultimate high score, but i do have a high score of 319,000+.
for the other Solitaire, you can restart the game until you are dealt a winnable hand - plus, in that one, speed will get you a higher score.

I couldn't see the character either. You can play through, it's just hard--I almost passed the 4th level--I was maybe an inch from the exit when I got hit.
