It's probably because I'm on a Mac, but I mention it just in case others are having similar problems.
i haven't even tried 9-ball, 'cause i could never get 8-ball to work...

Hmmm I wonder about those 500 points. What happened when you got them? did you win a tournament or a championship?

Not today! Earlier today I had 100 and something points and just after I posted above, I noticed I had 600 and something. I did sign up for the 8ball tournament this afternoon, but didn't notice the points then. I've had others donate points to me before...but I've always recieve a PM until today.

9 Ball shows you in the bottom right hand corner which ball is next to aim at, if you pocket any ball you get 100 points but you lose 25 for hitting the wrong ball (you can't hit one to sink the one it shows, it wants you to hit that colour first) and you get some sort of bonus for doing them in the right order. My german is very rusty, perhaps Tricia can translate the rest.

If you happened to get the first ball into a pocket, you would then shoot at whatever type of ball you sunk.

Apparently if the computer sinks the white ball, you get to move the white ball wherever you want. Left click in the faint square that surrounds the white ball and drag it to your desired position.

The idea is to get all of your balls into the pockets, pick a pocket to shoot the 8 ball into and then try and get it into that pocket. If you do you win. If you don't the computer gets a turn and it will sink it guaranteed.

Hope that helps
I didn't know this....

I was just shooting any ball into the pockets.
That must be why the computer doesn't give us points sometimes.....
we have shot the computers ball into a pocket.

Thanks for this feedback about 8 Ball.

Edit: I just played 3 games the right way...
it's definitely harder to get the right balls into the pockets.

Do you have to hit the solid or stripe balls? Why does it deduct 25 points everytime you hit a ball?? Help??

ETA- Hey! I have 500 extra points?? How did that happen? Does signing up for a tournament grant points??
I can't translate german but I LOVE 9 ball IRL. The basic rules of the game are that you need to hit the balls in numerical order from lowest to highest. So, you break on the 1 ball. If it falls in you then move on to the 2 or the next lowest number. The balls don't need to be sunk in order... only hit in order. So, if the 1 is out and you hit the 3 then you lose points. The game ends when you sink the 9 ball. So, lets say that the 3 is the lowest ball on the table. If you combo the 3 into the 9 and sink the 9 it's game over. Hope that helps.

Some of the games simply don't record your score.

Yup, I am aware of that. But Fast Food Fiasco does record your score. I've been having problems with a few others too, same error. I get log out after finishing, mostly after spending more than 5 minutes playing.

OMG, I just discovered in 8 ball that if the computer scratches you can move the cue ball anywhere on the table you want!!!

I've just tested Fast Food Fiasco, and you have to click on the "Play Game" button in order to submit your score.

Can you add Bricks of Egypt 2. I just tried it and love the game. I love Pool if it would work for me. I guess I will just play Pool on Pogo.
