Has anyone else noticed that the computer cheats?
Hey cool, thanks for the tip. Yeah I think the computer does cheat.

I am not proud of this but sometimes, I tell the computer exactly what I think of it's behavior...
using language that would be censored here.

Ok, I think there's a problem with the cost to join a tourney! I went to see who had started ones and which were open and this is what I saw...
Brasil Slingo Tournament Costs to join: 0 \t
Bookworm Tournament \tCosts to join: 0500 \t
Brain Buster Tournament Costs to join: 0500100
Brain Buster Tournament \tCosts to join: 05001000
8 Ball Champion Tournament \tCosts to join: 050010000

Those can't be right... can they?

ETA: I just registered for Brain Buster Tournament \tCosts to join: 05001000 and it didn't charge me anything.

Anne's still arguing with the software. Until there's an official announcement that the free period is over and xyz are the rates for the various things, everything is still free.

The arcade is still free at a moment, so that's probably why you weren't charged.

There are still 3 slots open in the 8- ball tournament...I made it a big one with 8 players, so it should be a lot of fun!

I see the weird numbers with the tournements too.. I made the Brain Buster one by mistake -- was trying to do the Bookworm one. I was wondering if there is a way to edit/delete a tournement if you hit the wrong thing. Where it says cost to join -- on the bookworm one I think I put 500 -- thinking that the winner would win 2000 points (4 people at 500 points a piece) Is that how that works or is it not running yet?

Since the 8ball seems to be popular, I just added 9balls
and some other games too. Have fun testing!

Can someone explain the 9ball game to me? I can't read German!
Do you have to hit the solid or stripe balls? Why does it deduct 25 points everytime you hit a ball?? Help??

ETA- Hey! I have 500 extra points?? How did that happen? Does signing up for a tournament grant points??

I had 500 extra points too. It might be for being in #1 place for a game? Not sure.

So far as 8 ball. I've only played it a few times. But the first ball that either you or the computer get into the pocket becomes your colour. Say the computer gets one of the striped balls into a pocket, they then have to shoot striped balls and you get the plain ones. If you happened to get the first ball into a pocket, you would then shoot at whatever type of ball you sunk.

Apparently if the computer sinks the white ball, you get to move the white ball wherever you want. Left click in the faint square that surrounds the white ball and drag it to your desired position.

To shoot at a ball you left click on the pool cue and drage it backwards and then let go. The cue springs forward and hits the ball in it's path.

If you are supposed to be shooting striped balls and when you shoot you accidently hit the computers plain coloured one first, you lose your turn and the computer gets their turn. If the computer hits one of your balls first, then it loses a turn and you get to shoot.

The idea is to get all of your balls into the pockets, pick a pocket to shoot the 8 ball into and then try and get it into that pocket. If you do you win. If you don't the computer gets a turn and it will sink it guaranteed.

Hope that helps

Thank you, but I meant the new 9 ball game.
I love your explanation of 8 ball tho!

It sure is odd getting points without a PM, isn't it? I just hope they aren't mistakenly being awarded and if they are....someone is aware of it!
I know of one other member that has an extra 500 points, and hasn't even played any of the games. Not that I'm nosey or anything...

AUGH! I think I just did really, really well at Desert Rally, but it won't submit my score... and I love pool in all its forms, but none of the pool-type games will work for me.
It's probably because I'm on a Mac, but I mention it just in case others are having similar problems.

These games are good therapy for awhile... and then you realize you haven't blinked in three hours...
