Arcade Feedback Thread

Since I'm on a Mac, I have some trouble with speed and control on some of the games, but they're still great fun -- thanks, Anne!

It's odd, just a couple of days before I found out the Arcade was coming, I happened to mention in a thread how neat it would be if we could play card games or board games here... maybe something like this wicked site, which has consumed at least a week of my life so far:

Any chance there might someday be a game like that, where we can chat and play together?

You did it just fine, as far as I can see. You just need three brave souls to join in and play against you

No pressure, though -- you've already provided enough to keep us plenty busy!

If it ever becomes available as a VB hack, I'll keep it in mind. As of now, I'm afraid the arcade in its current format with the tournaments is the only interactive gaming we can have - sorry!

Yours truly is stuck between entertaining lots of house guests over here and not being able to find a working solutions in the little spare time she has to actually work in.... I really intend to get the passes to work by the end of the weekend!

Has anyone else played the 3D Chess game? I'd love to know what the "pat!" message means at the end of the game. Probably that I was check mated...but I'd still love to know!

i just played bookworm, & got this message at the end...

This score was not submitted from the game. Your score will not be saved.

ETA: just got the same response for 2 other games...

I haven't actually looked at the game, but "Patt" means "stalemate" in German, so your guess is probably correct.

I love some of the games just added! Chinese checkers has always been one of my favorites, and I really haven't had an opportunity to play it for quite a few years.

Aw, I didn't notice it was going to start costing points before becoming addicted... I guess I'll have to try to find some of these games elsewhere, I only have enough points for 4 games I think.. lol.

I just finished a game of "Bubble Shooter." I was doing really well and managed to clear the screen of of all but one bubble, a pale blue one. Suddenly a window popped up and said "Game Over" and gave me a bonus equal to my score.

How are people getting high scores of 200,000 or more, when the game ended itself when I had one ball left?!

EDIT: I forgot to say that I got down to really low numbers of bubbles on the screen several times and the last few times the bubbles were replenished, there were only pale blue and green ones. No red, yellow, pink or dark blue ones.

Actually, you have enough points right now for at least a full month of games.

It will be 1000 points for a weeks pass, and then you can win points by getting the high scores too (as well as posting and contests and stuff).

Looks like I have to start storing up on points myself!

But I cheat... sometimes my kids help me test the games

I get confused about things like that easily.

I noted that in the game things tonight. I know Anne's playing with it tonight but I also double checked and we weren't getting charged 1000 points per game.

Thank goodness! I have a lot of points but that wouldn't go very far!
