It's called Delta Albaplex. I found this information:

http://www.peteducation.com/article....articleid=1449

Says not to use in cats?!

Also found this but it doesn't seem to be the same stuff:

http://www.pfizerah.com/product_over...=EN&species=CN

Either way, I'm looking for personal use/opinions. Frickle went to the vet a few weeks ago due to her licking her fur off on one spot of her back, the whole back side of her leg, and worrying her upper lip with her tongue and getting a sore on there. We were told it's either angziety (sp) or an allergic reaction. She was put on prednisone once a day for 2 weeks. She started to heal but the very next day or 2 after her meds ran out, she started licking again.

So, the vet gave this to us to try. I haven't, yet, as it's twice a day and hubby wasn't home to help pill her until tomorrow.

Thanks a ton!

I know what Tetracycline and Prednisolone are but not the othe Meds that are in it. Can you call another Vet or a Er Vet and ask them about it?

The PetEducation site simply says "not used in cats".

If you look here http://www.drugs.com/vet/delta-albap...blets-can.html
you will read
"They are indicated in the following canine and feline infections, when caused by tetracycline hydrochloride-sensitive and novobiocin-sensitive organisms, when accompanied by undue stress, toxemia or inflammation: Acute bronchitis, staphylococcal dermatitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, and post-operatively for prophylaxis."

Thank you, Blaise! I've bookmarked that link as it has other meds I was wondering about on it, too. Very informative!

Now if I can only get the feline brat to take these pills. They are so much bigger then the prednisone.
