Flea prevention

Thread Starter
My Rocky has a flea allergy that flares up in warm weather. He's strictly an indoor cat, but I live on the first floor and the bottom of my living room window is flush with the ground, so it's easy for fleas to get in if the windows are open.

I treat both of the boys with Zodiac spot-on once a month, but what methods can I use to keep the fleas from getting into my apartment in the first place, short of keeping all the windows shut and running the air conditioner all spring and summer?

I would use an outdoor flea spray and go around the windows/doors (inside and outside). You may have to reapply that every few weeks - especially after it rains.
