Does anyone else's cat go crazy for these? Often at night she's in the living room up in her tree and refuses to come down when I want to go to bed. All I have to do is get one of these out and she comes running. She likes to lick it a couple of times and then wants me to roll it all over her. I like to use it because it does get off any loose fur, I just think it's strange that she likes to be brushed with it, since it can't feel like much. When I need to use it myself, I have to lint roll my clothes while I'm in the closet so she can't get to it.

I've known cats that liked being "brushed" with these too -- I'm guessing they snag hairs that are loosely attached, or just lying on the skin, and pull them free, which probably feels good, as it relieves the itching or tickling sensation for the cat. Or it may also feel similar to when someone plays with the hair on the nape of your neck, that really nice tingly feeling.

We once had a cat that liked being vacuumed with the vacuum cleaner...

I think it has something to do with the tape itself, since she loves licking it. I don't know if it causes a similiar reaction as catnip or just what, but she goes crazy for it.

I WISH my cat loved the vacuum. That would be great! Instead I just have a labrador who likes to attack the wand tool when I vacuum edges and furniture.

Well, it was a success. Sammie also likes tape (envelope glue, box tape, etc.). Bites it, licks it.

I brought out the roller, let her smell it and then rubbed it gently on her. First time she was like, "Huh? Whatcha doin'?" And then she started enjoying it. Body, tail, legs.

Wow. Thanks. I think it might help with the amount of cat hair in the house.

I'm glad to see my cat isn't alone in her love of lint rollers. I'm just surprised no one else has mentioned this as mine is so crazy over them. Also, I find that anytime I tear off a sheet she has to lick the new one a bit first, then its "ROLL ME MOM!".

My kitten does that all the time. When I rip off a sheet to change it and put it in the garbage, she'll go in it just so she can lick it. Maybe it's the roughness against the tongue? Who knows.

I want to say it's something in the glue that they like. Maybe it just tastes good to them or it's just has a similiar effect as catnip does.

We had one cat that loved to have the sticky tags from new blue jeans put on him. He'd dance around to pull it off, then wait for you to stick it on him again, until it had so much fur on it it wouldn't stick any more.

And Punkin loves the lint roller, too.
