Opinions please

Has anyone heard the song Holy Diver by Dio. I really love it but don't get what it's about. I looked on google and people have different ideas. Some say religion, others say herion, and yet others say it has no meaning. What do you guys think?

I love that song- classic metal by one of the best in the biz. I don't think there's any meaning to it.

Heroin addiction

errr, its a family site so i cant really say what i thought, the song was about

or it could be Heroin, but i like mine better

In interviews he's stated that it's about a hero/messiah like figure who's done his job, saved the world, etc. He wanted to then leave, move on and people will not let him go, claiming there's still evil when there's not - ie they could see "stripes".
