It's A Standoff and She's Calling for Backups!

Sammie (indoor kitty) gets her outdoor fix by being on the lanai. I live in a villa, so the back yard is nearly non-existent, however...it has a great huge hedge separating my villa from the back yard neighbor and I also have a fairly good size magnolia tree and an oak.

So, there is a squirrel that is making Sammie NUTZ! She goes on her lanai (of course that real estate is hers, how could it be mine? I only pay the mortgage) and that squirrel starts taunting her and squawking at her LOUDLY!

She deals as she can, but then she comes running for me, "meow, meow! purrrrtttt, purrrrrt, meow!!" Obviously she needs to rally her troops.

I scoop her up in my arms and together we go out and try to tell that nasty guy to go away!

The cats I had with my exhusband had an enemy squirrel, he'd taunt them running full speed at the basement windows then prancing back and forth weaving through the security bars. It would drive the cats mad with excitement.

He wasn't so bold when I took the cats out on harness though, he'd sit in the tree and yell down at the cats but not come down.
