I took Beauty down the vets this morning to have her booster jab. The vet checked her for arthritis as well and she decided to shout at both of us when the vet did the check.

When we got home she jumped out of her carrier and went to hide and hasn't come out since.

Not that I can blame her though!

Persi stays IN the carrier when I bring him back!! It's a long time before he comes OUT! Guess he figures he better stay in, in case there are any more needles hiding around somewhere!

Poor thing. My cat is the exact opposite. She comes out of her crate immediately, goes to check her room (litter box, food area etc.) and then comes back looking all sorry and wanting to be petted the rest of the day, like "poor me".

awww sorry to hear that...
when Salem came home after getting his shot...
he was quiet for around a day or so...
sabrina was even meowing at me telling me that he wouldn't play with her...
but he was fine after 2 days.

All three of mine will shoot straight out of the carrier and hide when they return from vets visits, although it depends if they have had surgery or not. Poor Brandy didn't have much choice last time, he had to spend 8 weeks in a cage to recover at home...he was pretty noisy though to make up for it!

She's got arthritis, and the vet said to give her cod liver oil because that will help. If it gets any worse he wants to give her an X ray.

She came out late yesterday evening (probably because she smelt her tasties - chicken slices I got them out to persuade her to come out from under the bed)

She's just about back to her usual self,a bit stiff but there again she usually is!

Beauty is such a princess. She likes to be pampered. A ride to the vet is not the same as a ride to a cat spa.

All of my pets have been so well-behaved going to, from and at the vet's. The funniest I ever saw was when we brought RIP Brownie who adopted us to the vet. Vet said that he had not been neutered so we arranged for it the next day. After, we brought him home. We put him on our bed, he did a drunken "meow" turned over and went to sleep.
Beauty is saying, "Okay, I have arthritis and you don't so give me extra love."

Butzie sends to her special friend, Beauty.

Beauty's been following me around for most of the day ever since I came back in. I've given her one of her treats and fussed her, and I think she's decided to go to sleep upstairs now.

I won't wake her up.
