With Mitten's urinary problem getting better, the vet made a point that Mittens does need to lose another 5 pounds or so. When we got him in 2003, he weighed 25 pounds. At the vet on Saturday he weighed 16 pounds. In order for him to groom himself properly he has to lose the weight. Until then, I have to properly give him hydrotherapy daily and I purchased a cranberry urinary supplement to give him daily to try and relieve the acid in his urine. I hope all of these help.

My question is: what is the best and affordable cat food to give him to lose the rest of the weight?

Dry or wet (preferable) food and it doesn't matter if it is at a grocery store or Petsmart, etc.

I am assuming a lot of people on here have had issues like this before....does anyone have suggestions on some good weight loss food (dry or wet)? I am surprised I haven't received any advice on this issue and I posted 4 days ago
