I think it's common for them to lose a little bit of weight but not much. Especailly if it's lost rapidly. If your worried about Coco perhaps a vet visit is in order.

She is still fat but has lost a little. She didnt eat taht much last week before she got the Depo Shot. I will call the Vet if she loses more weight.

Awww, she's the same age as Popsie.
He used to weight ten pounds but dropped down to 7.12 over the years. He was at the vet last December for consipation and they didn't seemed concerned about his weight. He eats really well so I'm sure his is due to old age. If Coco is eating good it's probably nothing to worry about. I hope she is OK.

I would say that any weight loss that is easily noticed (i.e. you can tell without a scale) should be checked out. There are enough treatable diseases that cause weight loss that I would always recommend having the cat checked out. You can catch problems early that way, when they are less devastating.

My cat Buster also started to lose weight as well as he got older. He received a blood test to rule out any medical conditions. Fortunately, he is okay other than the chronic constipation. As everyone else recommends, it's best to consult a vet.

P.S. I like your St. Patrick's day pictures featuring all your kitties in green hats!

We called the Vet and left a message on her Voice Mail. Coco is now Sneezing with a Runny Nose. I am not sure if its a Cold or Allergies. It all started when the Pollen Count got high. I am Sneezing non stop too from the Pollen. the Depo Shot didnt really help her Asthma this time.
