That's what Twix started doing - meowing. When I went to her box I noticed what looked like the mucous plug.

Soon after I seen the contractions and now we have amniotic bubble.

As long as I am sitting here she seems fine. Too weird. I joke with my husband that I think these cats think I am some kind of feline midwife!

Good luck!!!! Labor vibes for you!

I'm sitting here with my kitten supply kit, camera, laptop and drink ... we'll see how long I can find time to post.

I've read about it, but never seen labor stall in a cat before.

Until today.

I had to leave the room and she followed me to the door and cried untilI came back.

Wasnt until after 7 that she started again.

1st kitten orange with a lot of white (but not van)
2nd kitten appears to be all orange
3rd kitten JUST born, she's still cleaning him/her - another orange and white, but too early to get a good look.

I'll be back.

PS Congrats to Pennie too!

Looks like we need a lot of Paddy Day names after all

I'm on my laptop now, but am taking plenty of pictures, I'll post later tonight when I can get to the computer downstrairs.

Kitten #3 does have white, but not as much as #1.

I think all the "gold" kittens today are a tribute to st Paddy's Day!!!

Momma is doing well and is so content cleaning her little babes right now.

#5 is nursing already but is still attached by mom via the placenta (which is still unbirthed as mom is taking a breather).

Dont quote me... but as #5 dries, I think she might be a tortie.

Good job, twix!!

Ditto on the red tom for Pennie,

I think she's done, her last kitten (#5) was born at 10:35. She is so tired. I had to help her with the placenta of the last one as she just tuckered out.

My daughters are transferring pics to the downstairs computer now. I will post pics in a few.

Congratulations!! I'm looking forward to pictures!

Rags was also tuckered out after the last one and I had to help her with getting the placenta off. Actually, I brought the baby around to her face so that she could chew the cord. She was leaving him down by her back legs after he popped out. She turned to remove the sac and lick him to make him breathe then she laid back down to rest. I came back a little later and he was still back there. That's when I decided to pick him and the afterbirth up and place them in front of her face so she could finish the job.
Well, congratulations on the five new babies!
