and let her do her job! Today Cuddles weighs about 91-92 grams, I think. My little scale won't get a good weight on something that's squirming. But I called the vet and I was told that I obviously have a runt, but as long as the runt is nursing, seems strong, and hasn't gotten pushed off to the side that he will probably come along fine. Rags got irritated with all of the attention yesterday and she moved them into the cardboard box that I had set up for her to give birth in. After I pulled them out of the box one by one to weigh them, I left to talk to the vet. When I came back she was moving them to an exposed place in the corner of the room. So I put them back in the cardboard box and moved the crate to the corner. Last I checked she was moving them back into the crate! Apparently, I need to leave her alone. She likes me, but she's sick of me constantly messing with the babies. I'm going to take my dog out to the dog park today and have some fun.

As the mother of 2 elementary age school kids, I can just hear Rags saying "Mooooom!! I can do it MYSELF!!!" accompanied of course with an indignant glare and a roll of the eyes!

And FWIW, I'm a HUGE fan of runts. I've had a runt puppy (as a kid) and a runt kitten as an adult.

But I am SOOOO glad that Cuddles seems to be holding her own!!
Have fun at the dog park!!!
