i think i saw this on here before, but i couldn't find it.

can cats get colds similar to what we do?

ed has been sneezing for several days now, but there is no discharge from his eyes or nose. he rubs his nose a lot as if it itches and if i put my finger near his nose to check for (sorry i don't know what else to call it) boogers he pushes against my finger with his nose like he wants me to clear it. he sounds stuffy when he breathes, too.

i am taking him to the vet today, so i will find out for sure. i was just wondering if anyone had anything they could share with me on this matter.

also, i have heard two differing views on a cat's nose being warm. some people have said this means they are running a fever othe people say it doesn't mean anything.

thanks!

Cats can get colds, flus, viruses, upper respitory problems, allergies. It is a good thing you are taking him to the vet. Best of luck that they can chase down what it is.
