For the past few months I've been feeding a stray. I live in northern Ohio and our winter has been cold and snowy. I could not take her in since I have 2 cats of my own and live in a no pet co-op. I fill her bowl outside on my porch twice a day. I've only seen glimpses of her through the door. She's a beautiful black cat with streaks of gold in her fur, she has gorgeous green eyes. Last night when my grandson came over he said she was outside and was pregnant. Sure enough when I looked out she was walking up the drive and was very pregnant. Now I'm really concerned for her. I don't know where she is living. It has to be outside somewhere. She'll have those babies and surely the weather will be so cold they won't survive. I'm hoping that she will bring them to me when they are old enough to eat cat food. Then maybe I can trap them and give them to the local shelter for adoption. Hopefully I can also trap her and the shelter will TNR her. My heart goes out to her. I am so glad that at least I have been feeding her. Do kittens born this time of the year outside survive? Does anyone have any suggestions?
