I live in Egypt and am unable now to buy any kind of cat food (no more imports allowed) - my 8 month old kittens that I rescued after they were abandoned by their mother 4 months ago got used to the dry food (Purina) that I was able to buy up until 1 month ago. I'm now feeding them with canned mackeral or cooked chicken mixed with mositened bread which they adore - but, I have read this is not good for them long term. Please does anyone have any advice as to what I can give these little sweethearts to keep them healthy (both have been neutered by the way)Oh yes, - they like strong smelling cheese too! Thanks for your help.

I don't feed my cats anything other than cat food, but I wanted to make sure you knew about some factors. If it's a must that you feed them human food, you need to make sure you also add ALL the necessary vitamins and suppliments. Without Taurine, they can go blind. There are many things you should be aware of to get them the proper nutrition. There are a few members on the site who know alot about these diets, and I am sure they will be here to answer in detail. In the meantime, try these links.
