This is fantastic! Poor child and poor parents. I cannot imagine the trauma for both.

It is amazing she is safe that doesn't happen very often.

Yes!
I heard that, she is lucky to be alive. I can't believe she was found inside a divan, who knows what terrible ordeals she may have gone through, but she is safe now, and under police protection.
Times like this I really love the police.

The story is not straightforward - the police have not allowed her to go home, only to meet with her mother. She is in foster care for the moment. It is well known that she was talking to her friends about running away for a while before she vanished. And the guy at whose house she was found is a relative of her stepdad. So who knows the background to it all? It is good though that she will now be looked after and her problems hopefully solved, whatever they were.

Little Shannon is still in police care four days after she was found, and is being gently questioned as to what happened to her. Apparently she will not be going home yet, at least not for a day or two, possibly longer. Her family are on record as agreeing with this approach, while the guy whose house she was at has been charged with kidnap.
