so I thought I'd reintroduce myself. My name is Lorie and my furbaby is Snowball who is 16 !/2 years old and who was diagnosed with early kidney disease 6 1/2 years ago. Snowball's condition is stable and his vet is very happy with how well he's doing.

I first joned TCS over 6 years ago, and at first I was here every day and even helped moderate the IMO forum for a while. Then things changed, and I wasn't able to be here as often.

I'm looking forward to meeting the newer members and getting re-aquainted with those who have been here for a while.

Hi Lorie! I was wondering where you went and how you and Snowball were doing.

Not sure if you have seen, but I adopted two new cats Gigi - a 2 year old tabbico female and Steve - a 9 month old male orange fireball with fur. As you can imagine, they've brought a new dimension to this household.

Glad to see you back!

Welcome back!!!! I think you are one of the oldest members on here!!! 2001!!!! WOW!

I'm so glad your baby is doing well!! I lost my Metallica nearly a year ago now. She had CRF and lived 6 months after one of her kidneys failed. She was also 16 1/2 and was with me ever since I was 4 years old.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You never know how much time there is left with an older cat who has a serious condition. I take it one day at a time with Snowball, and I really cherish the time he is still here.

And Cass, yes I did read a few months ago that you had adopted two new kitties. Good for you!!!!
