I'd like to thank the 2 people who've recently PM'd me to ask where I am. Fact is - I'm still diving in, if not daily then several times a week.

Things are REALLY busy here. We've picked up some nice clients a a couple of quite big projects as well as heaps of little ones. As my new business is taking off quite nicely, we are in the process of looking for an office. Shame really, as I've really got quite attached to being at home all day with the kitties draped around my 'home office'. But it really would be far more practical to be in the same location as my business partner instead of 4 miles away (he works from his home).

The other major happening in my life - and I still can't believe this has happened; is that I will be having a baby
in August. Despite all my gynacological horror stories (that some of you may be familiar with), I have finally managed to conceive without the help of drugs or anything - apart from my husband (LOL)!!

At the end of March I will have a 20 week scan when I intend to find out the sex of this little miracle, name it, and start really getting to know it. I have started yoga classes (only one so far), but these are very de-stressing and provide me with just the right amount of exercise v time out to myself for relaxation.

So for those still trying - there is hope. I was in a black hole about never having children - I truly believed it would never happen but as soon as I resigned myself to the fact that I would remain childless - BANG!!!! my dream came true.

Finally, the recent upsets here have meant that I didn't feel as comfortable here as I had done. Apart from the hectic pace and the overwhelming need to sleep for a couple of months (unlike now - it's nearly 4am)!!!, I felt it wise to take a break. There were some people here that made me feel if not exactly unwelcome then most defintely 'on the outside' - so I felt it best to back off for a while. I probably won't be as prolific a poster as I have been previously, however I'm still here, and time permitting will dip in and out.

I would like to say, despite that, there are still many very sweet, lovely people here who I consider to be my friends, and who have shared both good and bad with me.

HUGS.

That's such great news Yola!

We've only been trying for a few months (with no luck) and I still get down about it, even though the doctor says it takes up to a year to concieve, on average (I'm 30). People who get pregnant straight away don't know how lucky they are!

Anyway, we're hopefully going to be collecting a puppy next weekend, so that'll keep me occupied!

Thanks guys. Anne - I had extreme tiredness and morning sickness (not actually sick but feeling very nauseous ALL day, not just in the morning), during January and some of February. It's passed now, and I just get bouts of extreme tiredness.

Sal - I have been trying for 9 years, and I'm now very nearly 38 years old. I'm sure you'll be fine. Just keep a-practicin' there girl!!!

Sal, it took us 8 months before I conceived for the first time. We were trying hard for 7 months, then we moved to a new house and decided to give it a rest for a while (the "trying hard") and what do you know, that very month I got pregnant
I did some reading after that and turns out it's a common thing. The very stress of trying to conceive is often counter-productive (excuse the pun).

Yola - I had very little morning sickness but was tired all the time! Makes me wonder how is it possible to be pregnant when you already have a child

I can only repeat the good advice given to me at the time - get all the rest you can get now - you're going to miss being able to sleep in late

i remember the morning sickness all too well (i think it should have been called 'all day sickness'!) and i was so sick that i ended up needing an IV for dehydration. as soon as i was 'rehydrated' i stopped feeling sick!

Hi Anne,
I've heard that too - it's one of the reasons why we're getting a puppy. It'll give me something else to fuss over and probably stop me worrying quite so much.
Mind you, after sleepless nights and wrecked furniture with a puppy, I might decide to put off having the kids

Congrats Yola! And glad to see you post again! I know I tried to stay away from message boards when I was pregnant for the most part, because of all the drama or the said stories you can read on them, it was hard enough not to get emotional on a regular basis, I even cried for pokemon one day! And I don't like pokemon!

Have fun with it!!!

YOLA!!!!! I am SO thrilled for you and your hubby!!! I know how much you wanted a baby, and now it's really happening for you.

I missed you loads while you were gone, and I'm so happy to see you here again. Gosh, you'll be so busy with the baby and the booming business you probably won't have much time here no matter how much you want to - just ask Debby! Please keep us informed and stay in touch with us when you can. OK, so I'm jumping the gun a bit since you aren't due until August, but I missed you enough when you took this time off for just a little while!

((((HUGS))))) WE LOVE YOU YOLA!!!
