Raven does not throw up very often, but usually when she does now there is hairballs in it. She is pretty young yet, only 7 months old. What can I do about hairballs?
She has short to medium very fine black fur.

Well there's hairball treatment you can buy or go the cheap route and give her a tad of petroleum jelly once in a while.

As long as she is expelling them, it doesn't matter which end, really.
Spaz chucks one up about once a month.

Nova had the vomits from hairballs. We started brushing her and giving her a petroleum hairball remedy called VedaLax ($5-$13). The hairball stuff is easy to give to her. We just put it on our fingers, and she licks it off.

There are several cat foods with added hairball remedy, also treats as well. A couple of my cats don't like the special hairball remedy that comes in tubes but like the hairball treats and they seem to help

Christy, you can buy hairball treatment (it comes in a tube) or use petrolium jelly. Put a dab of it on her paw, and she will lick it off and ingest it. That way you don't have to fight her trying to get her to take her hairball remedy.
