Kina is pooping on the lawn!!

My 3 year old female became an indoor/outdoor about a year ago after being in indoor for the first part of her life. My neighbor told me a couple of months ago that they thought Kina was pooping on their lawn. I dismissed it thinking, "What kind of a cat poops on grass? Especially when there's plenty of dirt/sand around?" Well this morning while drinking my coffee and looking out of my front window, I saw Kina poop right in the middle of MY WET lawn! She attempted to bury for a few seconds, then sauntered away. Has anyone else's cat ever done this and what could be an explanation for this odd behavior?

Not that uncommon over here, part of the reason I dislike outdoor cats. Especially up at mums there's always poop on her lawn - or rather what used to be lawn, with the drought.

My feral cat Indie always goes in the lawn. I don't think it's an odd behavior.

There's not a darned thing unusual about a cat pooping in a lawn. I get the opportunity to step in my neighbor cat's crap out in my lawn very frequently.

Once a cat is outside, they're going to do what they do.

There is nothing unusual about this behavior. Basically it is marking boundaries of territory. Even if spayed/neutered, they want and will claim there territory.
