Hi Siobhan!

I don't get to post here very often but your post caught my eye.
I was born in Mass. and now live in the Burlington area of Vermont since I graduated from UVM. Since then I have gotten married and had three kids and now the oldest one is in high school and starting to look at colleges including UVM.
Your kitty Susie sounds cute. I love Siamese cats.
I have one black and white cat named Samantha who is almost 20 years old.
I just thought I would pop in and say hello and Welcome to The Cat Site.

Thx so much for the warm welcomes!!!! How amazing VtCat that you went one way and I the other. I still love Burlington - love Winooski, especially a certain little mall out there but they keep changing it on me, lol I am sure your daughter would love UVM tho Vt has some great schools (My brother went to Green Mtn - wants to run a ski place some day and knowing Vt, he just might, lol) My mom has been complaining about the amt of snow this yr but my brother has gone home as much as he can this winter for obvious reasons.

I have been too busy - he does not seem to get how intense vet school and working can be!! But Susie keeps me grounded! I will find some pictures and scan them or get a digital camera- would you believe I still have to buy one, lol. I know, get with the program....Maybe can borrow one from work or school. Or take some money from my savings and buy one but I am trying to graduate without too much money owing and that is not the easiest. But IO wil get pix of my baby to you asap!

Thank you all again! So many Ma people- how wonderful! I love this state but I love all of New England.

You can get pretty good used digital cameras at pawn shops. Anything from like 4 or 5 megapixels from a major name like Sony, Kodak, GE, something like that, would be perfectly OK.

Siobhan, sorry it took me a while to reply.
Actually it's my son who is looking at colleges, my daughter is younger and really into horses.
We have gone cross-country skiing this winter but we want to get back to warmer weather for horseback riding this spring.
I do have a niece who's at BU this year. College is a lot of work and a lot of money too.
Not too much longer and you will be finished with college, do you plan to stay in the Boston area or come back to Vermont sometime?
