I have started 188. That seems like a lot since I don't post much.
As of today, 1089, but that's in over five years. I think some got lost in the Great Crash, though. A lot of them were from the birthday threads, which I did for a fair length of time.
MA - with all your rescues, I actually would have guessed you'd be over 3,000!
I've started 375 - that's 6 years - and I have no idea if some got lost in the Great Crash or not.
BUT - I often write such LONG posts, especially when I start threads!

168 in four years...not too bad really. A more accurate perception of who is a big thread starter is to figure it out by how many you start per month. for me is comes out to roughly 5 per month. Out of curiosity, I did some rough (in my head, so subject to error) calculations. Here are some for people with the larger post counts, calculated by how many posts they average per month:
Abbysmom: 32/month
caloverin_ks: 46/month
Hissy: 30/month
Trouts mom: 25/month
jcat: 17/month
Although hissy, and jcat lost some in the great crash. I did too, but not many.
But...some of the lower thread counts can be deceiving:
hammyandwaf...you thought you didn't have that many, but you haven't been a member for long, so you average: 11/month
blonderebel: 40/month
glitch, you're at about 8 or 9/month
rescuecatsrule: 35/month

I've started 152 threads
159 for me - but again, since the Great Crash of Dec 2004. I probably have several more pointless threads on top of this lot. (man I'm showing my age when I talk like that)
216 here, but like several of our other long-term members, I lost some during the great crash.
