Job interview today! wish me luck!

I just got a call from a lady that runs a cafe halfway between here and Roman's job. I have been hoping she would call because i really need a job and miss working in a cafe. Plus its going to be kitchen work! So i have a interivew at 3:15 today. Please wish me luck because this sounds perfect, it works with my hours for the most part, the only part i dont like is it includes saturday evening and thats typically my fishing day in the summer!

Thanks guys! I got my job. i start monday, will be cooking and i start at 6 an hour. She was only gonna start me 2 days a week, but after talking with her a while she already gave me 4 and the option to work at least 5(she is closed sunday). Only downfalls are 1. its under the table 2. my fishing saturdays are gone 3. my sister will have to find another ride for my nephew to the babysitters at night. 4. i am NOT racist but i am not fluent at spanish so my communication with some of the other workers will be limited at best 5. i will loose time spending with my furbabies

Congratulations! It sounds like it's a good job to start with at least! Maybe something more ideal will come soon. I hope once you start you find a lot of reasons to like it!

I'm starting to think I need to take some Spanish classes myself for my job. Not because I can't communicate with my co-workers, but we seem to get quite a few patients where they speak very little to no English. I just can't tell my step-dad; he grew up speaking Spanish at home and he's just not really a teacher when it comes to speaking it. He'd spend a half hour making me practice the pronunciation of one word...I know this because he used to do that to my friends who took Spanish in high school when they came over!

thanks, i just realized i went to my interview with a hole in the butt of my jeans! its probably a good thing i got it, i need new jeans, lol.

i knwo what you mean, i knwo a little spanish i took it in highschool and some in college but i feel like a idiot trying to use it, i dont know why but its embarassing. sometimes i wonder why i should have to learn a new language, why cant they learn english? they came here, i didnt go there. nm i better shut up before someone takes this the wrong way. goshhhhhhhhhhh!

anyway when i told my mom i got the job all she could say was "good, now just learn to keep your mouth shut and you might keep it" i mean come on, yea i do tell people what i think, but its usually only after i have been pushed WAYYYYYYYYY to far. she got mad at me at one of my last jobs because i told the guy where he could go, but only after he got stoned and assulted me by shoving me against the edge of the metal table and throwing glass dishes at me. i am sorry if its wrong but i speak my mind, and anyone who dont like it dont have to listen-i dont roll over for anyone.
