Tonight its the grand opening of a little gallery showing and One of my photos is going to be hanging on a wall with my name up..starting tonight at 6 pm


its going to be up until the 28th of march. Pretty cool...

yep my first show..however I do have a photo in the "canadian wildlife" magazine..of pelicans...

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
Call me crazy, call me a geek, etc... but that looks like the dam used in one of the X-Men movies... the abandoned 'lab' where Wolverine had been 'transformed'.

I checked IMDb, and for X2, the second movie, they did some filming in Winnipeg... am I wrong? Either way, it's a great shot. Do you do digital or are like me and still prefer film for artistic work?

not sure if they were here or not..that shot is actually from Pinawa manitoba..which is closer to the ontario border...
google it..
its the pinawa heritage dam site..
a cool place to visit...
i'm into digital now..I did have a film camera for years..but I have since switched...

No you aren't wrong. Winnipeg has been called "Hollywood North" because many majoy Hollywood movies have used Winnipeg as a filming location.

Yeah, I think I'll be watching the movies some time this weekend to see the shots of the dam they used. On the IMDb pages they don't list the actual location of what they used in Winnipeg... but the landscape of that shot looks JUST like it...

Hmm... can't play hooky from work tonight... darn... ah well...
