Re-introducing myself.
My name is Marian, I joined this list 3 years ago when we adopted a cat from the Humane Society, only to learn a few weeks later that she was prenant. SURPRISE
Which is what brought me to TCS then. Two weeks after joining Willow had 4 beautiful kiddies - one of which we couldnt part with - Roly (as in Roly Poly)
My then-2-year-old son was diagnosed with cancer and I sort of fell off the face of the board. But not before taking away some wonderful advice and knowledge.
Willow's experience was so rewarding that last year we started fostering pregnant cats and kittens from The A.N.N.A. Shelter (our local no kill). We seen three litters born last year and it was very tempting to adopt every last one of them, but alas of 17 babes - we managed to restrian ourselves to one polydactyl, Squeaker (she was a big whiner as a kitten and now is my cuddliest).
This year it seems the fostering season has come early and we welcomed a beautiful calico to our home a few weeks ago. She appears to be due any day now, but we shall she. Amazingly she has warmed up pretty quickly to the other cats. My children have dubbed her Twix due to her coloring.
We also have one dog - a 7-year old BIG black newfoundland-mix named Chewbacca and 5 two-legged furless babies, aged 16-4. It really is a zoo here!
I see things have changed since I was here last, I've been browsing the site these past couple days and need to learn how to earn myself some of those points and a cancer ribbon
Anyway, thanks for listening - if you made it this far
Looking forward to reading about all your fur-babies.
