From the outside that is

I was doing a spot of knitting while waiting for Brett Farves news conference (a real tear jerker than was).

One of the resident squirrels hopped up on the window ledge and was sitting up and peering inside!! It ran back and forth a few times checking it out.
I slowly walked run to the window and put my finger on the glass and it didn't run away either. Just doing its little chewing motion and telepathically telling me to put out some more corn and bird seed.

Which of course I did!! That was so cute that the squirrel was looking in. Of course by time I would have run upstairs to get the camera the squirrel would have disappeared.

My Grandfather has had a squirrel come by for at least 3 years now and takes peanuts from his hand (he wears gloves) He whistles and down she comes, i've fed her too once in a while.

Squirrels can be very brave.

i raised a pet squirel when i was a kid, they are so smart and funny. I finally had to turn rascall back to the wild when he was older because the males are very territorial and my mom didnt like getting bitten and her drapes shreaded. oh and he loved his cowboy hat!

My aunt had a neighbour when I was a kid who fed the squirrels at her kitchen window. They'd come up, and if the window was open, they'd go straight into the kitchen; if it wasn't open, they'd rap at it to get her attention.

Brassy little devils, it was probably the same ones who got my aunt's dog in trouble for barking at them -- constantly.

we have an outside squirrel we named Beyonce. She has lived in my yard ( big oak) across the street a few times( huge pine) and last summer 2 houses down.( she was definately pregnant and nested in our old neighbor's oak) I watched her run home many nights after eating sunflower seed and peanuts in our yard. lol We have seen her off and on for at least 4-5 years now. If we walk in our yard and she's out there she runs up like a puppy dog. She takes peanuts from our hands and is so cute. Many times I look out and she is standing on my back porch looking up at me in the window.

By the way,,,,cute picture. I love the hat.

I love squirrels. They're so tame in Central Park that, if you're patient enough, they'll come up and eat out of your hand. I used to take peanuts with me when I went running and if I saw a squirrel I'd stop and hold out a peanut and, sure enough, most of them would walk right up and put their little front paws on my hand and take the peanut!

I stopped doing it because I was spending more time feeding than running.

I'll have to pick up some peanuts!!

When we were younger dad somehow caught a flying squirrel and one winter it resided in our house and we would let it "fly" around the living room.
