My new schedule seems to be settling down to working either Tuesday through Friday or Wednesday through Saturday. (I'm a truck driver for Toys R Us, and I currently do overnight trips.)

So, I went down to our local shelter and volunteered to work there on Mondays, if they need the help. I'd really like to help them with their cats. They put very few to sleep; I've even seen them save one cat who had been hit by a car and had a broken pelvis and leg. But I don't know what will come of it.

What a great way to spend your day off! Only problem is you'll want to take everybody home (that's why I volunteer with people and not animals!).

Yeah, it's hard not to want to take them all home with me ( I volunteer, been doing it for more than three years).

But you are definitely doing a good deed and one that will be soul satisfying.
